DescriptionNightdress in finely woven cream cotton, ankle length, cut in one piece with side seams only. Includes short wide sleeves and square neck, both with scallop edging, and plain hem. Machine stitched. Decorated with cut-work butterflies close to neck edge, stitched in cream silk thread. Laundry tag inside back of neck reads P.6465.
CommentsThe donor suggested the nightdress might date to the early 1900s.
