About the catalogue
Welcome to our online catalogue, which covers both Harrow Museum Collection and the Harrow Local History Collection and Archive. Both Collections are held at, and managed by, Headstone Manor and Museum.
The Harrow Museum Collection is owned by Harrow Museum Trust, and comprises objects relating to the history of the area currently covered by the London Borough of Harrow.
The Harrow Local History Collection and Archive is owned by Harrow Council and is largely paper-based; containing photographs, documents, maps, and library books. It also contains some audio, video, and film material.
The collections overlap in many areas, as the Museum and Archive were physically separate entities until 2013. They now share a digital catalogue in order to facilitate researchers and members of the public to find information across both repositories.
As part of the National Lottery Heritage Funding received by Headstone Manor and Museum in 2015, all records for both collections are being uploaded to the digital database and photographed or scanned where possible. This is an ongoing project, which over time will make more and more of our material available to the public digitally, through this website.
