Heavy relief decoration: in centre, "EIIR" on shield with crown etc; border of animals each symbolic of areas included in inscription around outside: BRITISH EMPIRE / AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND / CANADA / NEWFOUNDLAND / INDIA / SOUTH AFRICA". Five EIIR shields on rim. Marked in relief on base: "WADE England CORONATION 1953"
