Description	Victorian ladies' travelling basket with deep lid, woven straw reeds in a closely woven herringbone design. Missing strap.
Comments	Wicker furniture was valued for being a hygenic option in the Victorian era. It was also chosen to emulate the style in British colonies such as India. This basket would have had a strap around it that would keep the basket closed and create a handle.
