DescriptionThe 1914-1915 Star. Medal for British and Imperial forces who served in any theatre against the Central European Powers in WWI. Bronze. Obverse: crossed swords, wreath and crown with "1914-15" on engraved swag across front. Reverse: Plain, with stamped: "14900 / PTE A. T. KINCH. / W. YORK:R'. With red, white and blue silk grosgrain ribbon.
CommentsBy convention, the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal, and the Victory Medal were all worn together and in the same order from left to right. They were affectionately dubbed 'Pip, Squeak, and Wilfred'.
