Copper-alloy Rose farthing coin. Obverse: crown with crossed scepters and encircling text; reverse: rose with crown above and encircling text.
Provenance
Found behind the Granary at Headstone Manor & Museum during excavations by Museum of London Archaeology in Summer 2015.
Comments
Minted under Charles I from 1636-1644. The more complicated design of the Rose farthing helped to reduce forgery.
