Description	Whitefriars Banjo vase from the Textured Range, in Cinnamon.
Comments	Geoffrey Baxter design. In 1967, Whitefriars launched the 'textured range', full of irregular shapes, rough textures, and bright non-primary colours. They were designed by Geoffrey Baxter, who produced the original moulds at home in his garage using carved wood and tree bark. Once complete, the wooden moulds were translated into durable metal versions. The resulting glassware has become synonymous with Whitefriars. The Banjo vase type was designed by Geoffrey Baxter in 1966 but was not produced until 1969.
