Comments
Kodak Kolorkins were a variety of colourful fantasy animals created by the Eastman Kodak Company in the late 1980s. They were marketed as creatures from the planet Koloron who had come to earth in search of colours that didn’t exist on their own. Where they first launched, in Canada, their names all began with the letter ‘K’, but in the USA and the UK the names linked to aspects of photography. Kodak launched ten different coloured Kolorkins between 1988 and 1994, with a black one being introduced in 1999 to mark the centennial of operations in Canada. However, in the UK only four were released: red (Flash), dark blue (Click), gold (Snap) and green (Zoom). Over 20 million Kolorkins were sold worldwide.
