Description
Black and white photographic postcard showing Tookes Fountain, Church Lane, Pinner. View of granite spire-shaped fountain with octagonal stepped base, surrounded by garden and paths. Trees in background. At bottom, printed in black: "TOOKE MEMORIAL, PINNER". On reverse, the card is split into two sections for message and address by elaborate ribbon and garland design, with designated place for stamp. Publishing information on left: "Published by W. THOMPSON, The Library, Pinner.", with RA Series (Radermacher, Aldous & Co.) logo at top. Postcard used, sent to Harrow. Franked 9 October 1929, with 1 penny George V stamp. Later notes in pen and pencil on reverse.
