Description	Long metal pin, top is circular but swivels and has a sparkly flower design under a glass cover. Identical to 1997:141.51
Comments	Hatpins reached a peak of popularity between the 1880s and 1920s as prominent ladies, as well as stage and silent-move screen actresses, fuelled the popularity of large elaborate hats without bonnet strungs. Having originated in the 1850s to secure straw hats, hatpins became longer and more ornate over time.
