Description
A traditional dress of Afghanistan, similar to those worn by women of the Pashtun identity. The dress is long, with wide sleeves and intricate detailing all over. Gold, silver, and green threads, beads, pompoms, and small mirrors have been used to create elaborate patterns that cover the dress, especially on the chest. Colour hold great significance in Afghan culture, reflected strongly in their traditional dresses; with the green of this dress representing growth and prosperity.
