| Description | This series contains Information Files, which were compiled by a previous Local History Librarian. There are over 1200 files on a variety of topics, from housing to pageants, archaeology to ice houses, and dogs to dustmen. Each part of the borough has files on notable houses, churches, residents, and other general aspects.
The Information Files are a combination of ephemera, copies of relevant documents, and original archival material. As items have been meticiously recorded within a card catalogue, it is a fantastic first stop in researching almost anything in the collection.
Volunteers are currently digitising the lists of the contents of each file, which are printed on the outside of each envelope. The full list of files can be found here, and their contents will be updated as each file list is digitised.
