Description
Black and white photographic print showing a horse bus outside Queen's Head, High Street, Pinner. View looking up toward church, with bus parked at kerb across street from pub. Man on a bicycle to left of bus, and another walking on pavement to right. Caption printed in white at bottom left: "PINNER, THE QUEEN'S HEAD, HIGH STREET". Reverse split into two halves for correspondence and address, with designated place for stamp (now missing). Postcard used, sent to Hatch End, franking date unknown.
Above space for message, caption printed in green: "PINNER, "THE QUEEN'S HEAD," HIGH STREET / Our view shows a portion of the High Street in this quaint, old-fashioned village, and, on the left in our view can be seen the "Queen's Head" inn, dated 1705. In the distance is the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist." Pubishing information on left: "Herbert W. Alvey, Stationer, "The Bazaar," High Street, Pinner". Notes in pencil on top.
