| Description | Black and white photograph reprinted as postcard, showing Bridge Street from middle of road. A dozen cars and trucks are driving up the road or parked on pavements. In the foreground on left, a young boy pushes a tricycle and a young girl in a hat pushes a toy pram. Several shop signs are visible on the left of the street, including "T. WALTON LTD.", "NATIONAL PROVINCIAL / BANK", "HAYLOCKS", "SAINSBURY" and on a truck "J. SALMON & SON LTD". At bottom, text in black: ""HARROW LIBRARIES / Postcard Series No.4/1" and "OLD PINNER / Bridge Street. 1935". Reverse split into two halves for correspondence and address, with designated place for stamp. Unused. Notes in pen on reverse. |
