DescriptionBlack and white photographic print showing Hunsdon Bridge, Cannon Lane, Pinner. View west from the bank of the River Pinn toward the exterior parapet of the Hunsdon Bridge. White dedication stone visible mounted in centre of brick parapet. River flows through two arches below. Houses on other side of Cannon road visible in background. Notes in pen and pencil on reverse. Also on reverse, copyright stamp for King & Hutchings Ltd, Uxbridge, with reference number 3874.
CommentsDedication reads: "This Bridge was rebuilt from the foundation att the Voluntary and sole cost of the R Honble Grace, Lady Hunsdon in the Month of Sept. Anno Dni 1728". The stone itself is Grade II listed: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1192890. It was remounted in a street-facing position when the bridge was rebuilt in 1938.
