In centre, a wooden arch gate with name of cottage hung from top is located in a break in the hedges, with lampost on pavement in front. Taken from across road, with Elmdene visible in background on left. Paper label adhered to front of photograph: "PNR.24F. Grange Cottage. Pinner." Notes in pen on reverse. Also on reverse, copyright stamp for F. Frith & Co. Ltd. with reference numbers PNR 24 and Section No 55B.
