DescriptionBlack and white photographic print showing the River Pinn in the grounds of The Grove, Marsh Lane, Pinner. View of meandering river with natural banks and trees growing on either side. Some scribbles drawn in black marker pen over portions of leaves and riverbank. Taken in portrait orientation. Notes in pen and pencil on reverse.
CommentsAppears in "Panorama of Pinner Village" (1947), page 42. Quoted on back: "Sylvan scene 200 yards from Marsh Road where the River Pinn flows through the grounds of The Grove. The waterfall in Cannon Lane is just beyond."
From this quote it can be assumed that the location of the image is closer to Eastcote Road and modern Grove Avenue.
